League & Junior v Parents.
Thirty five competitors took part in the annual junior’s v parent’s match;
once again we opened it up to family members, ex-juniors & senior club members.
The day started of cloudy with occasional sunshine. The wind was a southwesterly
5 & the sea was rough & dirty. The predominate specie was flounder. All the fish
not kept for eating or bait were return alive. In all 55 fish were caught during
the match. Steven Rathbone for the second match running won the junior section
on his last cast. (It just shows never give up till the hooter goes). Marion
Crawford supplied the sausage rolls that help to keep the kids full of energy,
prizes were donated by Hilary, Fred Bowditch & Tiny.
