ONE DAY BOAT FESTIVAL 28 SEPT 2008

The second one day boat festival of 2008 took place on 28th September, and once again the weather was on our side with the day dawning with a heavy fog that soon lifted to reveal bright sunshine and a northerly 2 wind, ideal conditions for a day afloat. Twenty three competitors signed on to fish the match from 10 different boats, the boats were set off from West Bay harbour by club president Fred Bowditch at 9.00am for eight hours of fishing. The competitors were only allowed to bring back one fish of each species and their best two specimens added together would determine the winner.
